Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 2 October 2026
1. Operator
SCROOL is operated by SCROOL LIMITED, based in Dublin, Ireland. Contact: contact@scrool.ie.
2. Eligibility — adults only
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use SCROOL. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide about your age and identity is accurate. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current, and must not create an account for another person without lawful authority.
4. Respectful and lawful use
You must not use SCROOL to harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, defraud, impersonate or deceive another person; distribute unlawful or infringing material; solicit prostitution or human trafficking; send spam or unauthorised commercial messages; scrape or harvest data; interfere with the service; evade enforcement; or encourage unlawful activity.
5. Child safety and zero tolerance for exploitation
SCROOL is an adults-only dating service. We strictly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, sexualisation of minors, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sextortion involving minors, trafficking of children, or any content or conduct that facilitates or promotes such abuse. We may remove content, suspend accounts, preserve relevant evidence where legally permitted, and make reports to competent authorities or designated reporting bodies where required by law.
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit to SCROOL. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, process and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and moderate SCROOL and to comply with law. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to limited backup, safety or legal retention.
7. Moderation, reporting and blocking
SCROOL may use automated tools and human review to enforce these Terms and our Safety Standards. Users should have access to in-app tools to report objectionable content or behaviour and to block abusive users. We may restrict, remove or suspend content or accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms, our policies or applicable law have been breached.
8. Dating safety
SCROOL does not conduct a guarantee of identity, character, background or intentions of every user unless explicitly stated for a particular verification feature. Use reasonable caution when communicating with or meeting someone. Do not send money or financial information to another user. Review our Safety Standards before using the service.
9. Subscriptions and app-store billing
SCROOL may offer optional subscriptions or paid features through Apple App Store and/or Google Play. The price, billing period, trial information (if any), renewal terms and cancellation options shown at the point of purchase apply to that transaction. Payment processing is handled by the applicable app store. This website does not sell subscriptions or process payments. Store terms and applicable consumer law also apply.
10. Changes, availability and features
We may change, add, remove or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We will not materially reduce mandatory consumer rights granted by applicable law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using SCROOL and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for safety, policy enforcement, legal compliance, non-payment of an applicable subscription, or protection of the service and its users. Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an appeal route.
12. Intellectual property
SCROOL's software, branding, design, text, graphics and other materials supplied by us are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as permitted by law or these Terms, you may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute, sell or exploit them without permission.
13. Third-party services
SCROOL may rely on third-party platforms or service providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply to those services. Apple and Google are not responsible for content created by SCROOL users except to the extent required by their own platform rules or applicable law.
14. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, SCROOL is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every profile is accurate, that every match will be suitable, or that use of the service will result in a relationship. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. Subject to those mandatory rights, any additional limitations of liability should be interpreted only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. Courts and dispute-resolution rights available under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, our business or applicable requirements change. The updated Terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Where required, we will give additional notice.
